Steamy Lit Subscription Box Policy

Box Types & Frequency

We currently offer two subscription services:

The Steam Box (Quarterly)

A deluxe romance book box shipped four times a year on the following schedule:

  • Winter Box (Jan–Mar) → Ships end of March
  • Spring Box (Apr–Jun) → Ships end of June
  • Summer Box (Jul–Sep) → Ships end of September
  • Fall Box (Oct–Dec) → Ships end of December

More Amor (Monthly)

Our $14.99 monthly subscription for upcoming romance releases.

  • Every 1st of the month, subscribers receive six curated title options.
  • Selections must be made by the 14th.
  • Billing processes on the 15th, and selections are locked.
  • Books ship during their release week the following month.

Example: In July, you select a book releasing in August. It will ship around its August release week.

 

 

Pricing & Shipping

  • Shipping is not included in the subscription price and is calculated at checkout.
  • We currently ship to U.S. addresses only. No international shipping at this time.

 

Managing Your Subscription

You can manage your subscription—select your book, update your address, or cancel—via your customer portal.

More Amor:

  • Cancel or make changes by the 14th of the month to avoid being charged for the next box.
  • If you don’t select a book by the 14th, one will be chosen for you.
  • Subscriptions renew on the 15th of each month.
  • First-time subscribers are locked in for a 3-month minimum.
  • Skipping is not available at this time. If none of the monthly options appeal to you, cancel by the 14th and re-subscribe later.

The Steam Box:

  • Cancellations apply to the next box.
    Example: Cancel during Spring (Apr–Jun) to avoid the Summer box.
  • Skipping or pausing is not available. You may cancel and re-subscribe when ready.

Please Note: All subscription charges are final. We do not offer refunds once a charge has been processed.

 

Address Changes

All shipping addresses must be updated in your customer portal before your box begins processing.

Cutoff Dates:

  • The Steam Box: Update your address by the 20th of the last month in the box cycle.
    Example: For the Winter box (ships end of March), update your address by March 20.

  • More Amor: Update your address by the 14th of the month, along with your book selection.
    Example: For a book releasing in August, update your address by July 14.

Shipping labels are created shortly after the cutoff. We are not responsible for packages sent to incorrect addresses if updates are made too late.

 

Missing or Lost Boxes

If your tracking shows the box as delivered but it hasn’t arrived:

  • Wait 72 hours, as carriers may mark packages early.
  • Contact hello@steamylit.com within 30 days of the delivery date.

Damaged Items

Damaged items are reviewed case by case. Please email us at hello@steamylit.com with:

  • Your order number
  • Clear photos of the damaged item(s)

If a replacement isn’t possible, we may issue a partial refund.

 

 Preorders & Special Editions

Sometimes our subscription boxes include special edition books or preorder titles. While this is not the norm, delays may occur if we’re waiting for items—particularly books—from a publisher or vendor.

In these rare cases:

  • We may hold the entire box until all items are available.
  • We will update our website and/or email subscribers with any delay information.

We appreciate your understanding and always do our best to keep you informed.


Returns & Exchanges

We do not accept returns or exchanges for subscription boxes. All sales are final.
